Hoshi Star Competition

The Hoshi Star Competition is our first ever singing competition at Hoshicon!  People compete to become the number one idol and singing star for the year!  You will be able to win bragging rights, VIP privileges for the convention, and publicity on our pages once you win!  If you are interested in singing, this is the competition for you!  All competitors can practice using the Free Karaoke times during the convention if needed.  Please note that all entries are sent online and there are no convention entries.

The Hoshi Star Competition will be on Saturday from 3 - 5 PM.

Rules for Entry

1. You must be at least 13 years of age at the time of the convention to enter the competition.

2. In order to qualify for the competition you cannot have won any other convention karaoke/singing competition (AX Idol, Otaku Idol, Animazement Karaoke Contest) within the past two years.

3. For your entry you must sing a song directly related to Asian culture, video games or comics. “I choose this song because it reminds me of this character” is not allowed.

4. Only one entry per attendee. Please do not send us multiple entries or “re-dos”.

5. All entries must be PG-rated in lyric content and free of foul language.

Entering

Entry for the competition will not be at the convention but online! To enter send two one minute clips of you singing a song directly related to Asian culture, video games or comics. One clip may include an instrumental but the other clip must be the same song but acapella.

These two clips may be in a .mp3 or .wav format and can be either attached individually to the e-mail or both in a .zip or .rar file.

In your e-mail please include your full name, what name you want to be presented by if selected, your age and what your song is.

If you are selected to be a part of the competition you will be contacted by March 2013 with further instructions.
